
- The Faculty Grievance & Dispute Resolution Office has three separate roles.
- Francisco A. Villarruel is the Faculty Grievance Official who focuses on advising visitors, problem solving, and case review.
- Maureen Cullen is the Administrative Assistant who handles general office communication, scheduling, and inquiries regarding the formal procedures of the Faculty Grievance Policy.
- Sam AcMoody is the Office Coordinator and has previously served as office Administrative Assistant from 2014 through 2017.
- Emails sent to the Faculty Grievance & Dispute Resolution Office (fgo@msu.edu) remain confidential to the office but are read by both the Grievance Official and the Administrative Assistant.
- Inquirers/Visitors are advised to use fgo@msu.edu for email communication as opposed to the personal email of either the Grievance Official or Administrative Assistant.
- Verbal and written communication with the Faculty Grievance & Dispute Resolution Office remain confidential unless the visitor grants permission for the Grievance Official to speak with the their administrator or other party to the issue.
- When permission is given for the Grievance Official to interact with an administrator, Academic Human Resources (housed within the Office of the Provost) will receive notification from the FGO and a brief description regarding the nature of the discussion.
- The Faculty Grievance & Dispute Resolution Office will regularly follow-up with visitors to ensure mutual understanding of pending action items or next steps.
